Alliance Bank is seeking a strategic executive to serve as Vice President, Digital Innovation and Design. This role is responsible for guiding the bank's transformation agenda and building long-term franchise differentiation through the accumulation of digital assets. You will lead a cross-functional team across product, design, technology, data, and operations to shape the next generation of digital banking experiences for customers, partners, and employees.
In this high-impact leadership position, you will define a holistic digital strategy that aligns with business goals, regulatory requirements, and risk management. You will champion customer-centric design, evidence-based decision making, and agile delivery to accelerate the bank's digital capabilities. You will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle—from discovery and UX research to design, development, launch, and continuous optimization—ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
Your responsibilities include building a robust digital asset strategy, leveraging data and analytics to personalize experiences, and expanding the bank's digital footprint across channels. You will establish governance, DesignOps, and ensure alignment with technology roadmaps, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and operational resilience. You will empower top talent, foster a culture of experimentation, and manage budgets and external partnerships to deliver value-driven outcomes.

You will shape the culture and capabilities across the organization, mentoring leaders, and establishing performance metrics that demonstrate impact on revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Responsibility
- Develop and execute the bank's digital transformation and design strategy, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
- Lead the digital product portfolio across mobile and web channels, setting roadmaps, priorities, and delivery milestones.
- Champion customer-centric design through UX research, usability testing, and data-driven decision making to drive engagement and conversion.
- Architect scalable product lifecycles with agile practices, DesignOps, and collaborative cross-functional governance.
- Drive the digital asset strategy, leveraging data analytics and partnerships to create compelling, personalized experiences.
- Ensure risk, compliance, cybersecurity, privacy, and operational resilience are embedded in all initiatives.
- Build and lead a high-performance team, manage budgets, vendor relationships, and partnerships with technology, marketing, and operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology strategy with corporate goals and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in digital product design, innovation, and technology within financial services or fintech.
- Proven track record delivering digital transformations and scaling digital platforms in bank or financial institution settings.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and ability to influence at C-level; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Deep expertise in UX research, service design, product management, and DesignOps; knowledge of cloud, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
- Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory requirements, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and partnerships with technology and marketing teams.
- Fluent in English; Malay language skills are a plus.
