Responsibility
- Transcribe and document real-time patient encounters for US-based physicians using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical documentation according to established protocols and standards.
- Assist physicians with medical charting, history, physical examinations, treatment plans, and other relevant data.
- Verify and clarify patient information and provider notes for quality assurance.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies and obtain critical information.
- Support virtual medical office tasks, including scheduling, follow-up reminders, and patient correspondence as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in adherence with HIPAA and data privacy laws.
- Stay updated on latest medical terminology, US healthcare trends, and compliance regulations.
Qualification
- Registered medical practitioner, licensed nurse, or at least 1 year hands-on experience as a medical scribe or similar clinical documentation role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Familiarity with US healthcare system, EMR/EHR platforms, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Superb attention to detail and ability to process information quickly and accurately.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a virtual work environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and proficiency with digital tools and video conferencing platforms.
- Ability to work US business hours and adapt to physician schedules.
