You will collaborate with program staff, recruit and onboard volunteers, schedule activities, and support community partnerships to broaden our reach and impact.
Responsibility
- Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to meet program needs.
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training sessions for volunteers.
- Manage volunteer scheduling and ensure coverage for events and activities.
- Serve as the main point of contact for volunteers, addressing inquiries and concerns.
- Track volunteer hours, maintain attendance records, and prepare reports for program managers.
- Support program staff with event logistics, outreach, and partnership development.
- Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions through appreciation events and communications.
- Collaborate with leadership to strengthen the volunteer program and measure impact.
Qualification
- Experience in volunteer coordination, community outreach, or nonprofit programs preferred (0-2 years acceptable).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with basic office software; familiarity with volunteer management platforms is a plus.
- Passion for social impact and community service; alignment with our mission.
- Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evenings or weekends for events.
- High school diploma required; college coursework in nonprofit management or related field preferred.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
