CityBridge Volunteer Network is seeking a proactive Volunteer Coordinator to help grow our community impact in Toronto. This rewarding, unpaid role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, volunteer management, event planning, and community outreach within a dynamic team.
As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will empower volunteers, support program delivery, and help us create welcoming and inclusive experiences for participants and partners.
Responsibility
- Coordinate volunteer schedules, assignments, and coverage across multiple programs to ensure smooth operations.
- Onboard, train, and support volunteers, providing clear expectations and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with program leads to plan, promote, and execute community events and outreach activities.
- Maintain accurate volunteer records, track hours, and generate impact reports for stakeholders.
- Assist with communications, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials for campaigns.
- Support on-site event logistics, check-in, orientation, and participant hospitality to ensure a positive volunteer experience.
Qualification
- Current student, recent graduate, or passionate community member eager to gain nonprofit experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent time management, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and basic data entry.
- Willingness to complete orientation and basic background checks as required.
- Availability for evenings and weekends to support events.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
