Capital Dynamics is seeking a talented Web Designer to manage and maintain our current websites and design compelling, high-performing websites for the group. This role blends creative design with user-focused development to deliver delightful online experiences across devices. You will work closely with marketing, product, content, and IT teams to ensure our web properties reflect the brand, support business goals, and deliver measurable results.
As a Web Designer, you will translate brand guidelines into pixel-perfect, responsive designs that engage visitors and convert. You will optimize pages for performance, accessibility, and search visibility, while maintaining consistency across multiple sites and campaigns. Your eye for typography, color, and layout will help raise the bar for our digital presence while adhering to governance, security, and privacy requirements.
We are looking for a collaborative problem-solver who can balance creativity with practicality—producing wireframes, mockups, and production-ready assets, and guiding developers through implementation. Responsibility
- Maintain and update Capital Dynamics group websites, ensuring content accuracy and brand consistency.
- Design and implement new web pages and microsites for campaigns, launches, and initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing, content, product, and development teams to translate wireframes into responsive designs.
- Ensure websites are responsive, accessible (WCAG 2.1), and optimized for fast load times.
- Implement SEO best practices and track performance using analytics tools; optimize metadata, headings, and alt text.
- Create and maintain style guides, design systems, and reusable components for consistency.
- Test across browsers and devices; troubleshoot issues and coordinate with developers for pixel-perfect implementation.
Qualification
- Degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, UX/UI, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on web design experience with a strong portfolio showing responsive designs.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript; experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar.
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles, typography, color theory, and layout; user-centered design approach.
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, accessibility standards (WCAG), and performance optimization.
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite; ability to produce assets and style guides.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills; ability to work in Kuala Lumpur or remotely as required.
