Responsibility
- Assist the Chief Officer and Captain with daily navigation and ship operations
- Oversee bridge watchkeeping duties and ensure safe passage
- Maintain navigational charts, publications, and navigational equipment
- Supervise the safe loading, stowage, and unloading of cargo
- Coordinate deck operations, including safety drills and emergency procedures
- Monitor vessel compliance with international maritime regulations
- Prepare voyage plans and assist in shipboard documentation
- Ensure the highest levels of safety, security, and environmental protection onboard
Qualification
- Valid Certificate of Competency (STCW II/1) as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch
- Previous experience as a 2nd Mate or similar position aboard container or cargo vessels
- Strong knowledge of navigation, maritime regulations, and bridge operations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and make quick, accurate decisions
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Physically fit and medically cleared for seafaring duties
- Willingness for immediate deployment
