We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated 3rd Engineer to join our expanding team in Makati City, Metro Manila. Responsibility
- Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and equipment onboard the pipe laying support vessel.
- Carry out regular inspections and ensure all engineering systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Support the Chief and 2nd Engineers in overseeing engine room operations and daily performance monitoring.
- Respond efficiently to mechanical faults and perform troubleshooting as necessary.
- Maintain accurate machinery records, inventories, and logbooks as required by company and maritime regulations.
- Participate actively in emergency drills and promote onboard safety culture.
- Assist in supervising engine room crew and support their ongoing technical training and development.
- Collaborate with deck and engineering teams to optimize vessel performance during pipe laying operations.
Qualification
- Valid Certificate of Competency as 3rd Engineer (STCW III/1 or higher).
- Previous experience working on support, offshore, or special-purpose vessels preferred.
- Sound knowledge of engine room operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of safety management systems and ISM Code compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments.
- Proficient in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills.
- Physically fit with the ability to work onboard for extended periods in offshore environments.
