We are seeking an accomplished Academic Librarian to lead information discovery, research services, and instructional programs in a dynamic, data-informed environment.
As a key member of the Information Discovery & Research Services team, you will empower patrons to navigate complex information landscapes, support scholarly communication, and contribute to the library's digital and physical collections. Responsibility
- Provide reference services at the research desk and online, helping patrons locate, evaluate, and use information effectively.
- Design and deliver information literacy instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses, including workshop development and embedded sessions with faculty.
- Curate and manage library collections, including physical holdings and digital repositories, ensuring discoverability and accessibility.
- Oversee metadata workflows and cataloging activities to support accurate discovery (RDA/MARC, authority control).
- Collaborate with faculty and departments on information literacy outcomes, research support, and scholarly communication initiatives.
- Develop outreach programs and marketing materials to promote library services, resources, and events.
- Contribute to assessment, reporting, and data-driven decision making to demonstrate impact and inform strategic planning.
Qualification
- MLIS or equivalent master’s degree from an ALA‑accredited program.
- 2+ years of professional library work in an academic or research setting.
- Strong reference and information literacy instruction experience with diverse user groups.
- Experience with cataloging, metadata standards (RDA, MARC, authority records) and library systems (e.g., Alma/Primo, WorldShare).
- Familiarity with digital repositories and digitization workflows; comfort with basic data management principles.
- Excellent written and spoken communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
