Responsibility
- Provide comprehensive reference services and research assistance to patrons in person, online, and via chat.
- Develop, classify, and maintain library catalogs using MARC standards and Dublin Core for physical and digital collections.
- Assist with acquisitions, collection development, and deselection aligned with the library's strategic plan.
- Manage metadata, cataloging workflows, and quality control to ensure discoverability.
- Support digital repositories, digital literacy programs, and access to e resources.
- Plan and deliver information literacy sessions and community engagement programs.
- Collaborate with librarians, archivists, and IT staff to implement library systems and improve user experience.
Qualification
- Master's degree in Library Science or an equivalent LIS credential from an ALA accredited program
- Minimum 3 years of professional library experience in reference, cataloging, and user services
- Experience with MARC, RDA, Dublin Core, and library metadata standards
- Proficiency with library management systems such as Symphony/Alma WorldShare or Koha and discovery layers
- Strong research, communication, and information literacy instruction skills
- Commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and community engagement
- Ability to analyze collection needs and participate in collection development
