Responsibility
- Provide expert reference assistance and information literacy instruction to students, faculty, and researchers.
- Catalog and classify library materials using current standards (MARC21, RDA) and maintain metadata quality.
- Manage digital collections and institutional repository workflows, ensuring access and preservation.
- Collaborate with faculty on research support, course-integrated instruction, and information literacy programs.
- Develop and participate in outreach programs, events, and user engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to collection development through assessments, deselection, and user needs analysis.
- Oversee special collections and archival materials following best practices and institutional policy.
- Support discovery system maintenance and data quality initiatives.
Qualification
- MLIS or equivalent Master of Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in an academic or research library setting.
- Strong cataloging skills using MARC21, RDA, and authority control.
- Experience with digital repositories and metadata standards; familiarity with DSpace or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in reference services and information literacy instruction.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and user-focused service orientation.
- Familiarity with library technologies, discovery layers, and data management best practices.
