Beacon Hill Theological Institute invites applications for a Part-Time Adjunct Professor of Theology. The position offers the opportunity to teach foundational courses in theology, Biblical Studies, and ethics, contribute to curriculum development, and mentor students within a diverse academic community. The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Theology or a related field, demonstrate engaging teaching practices, and show a commitment to fostering critical theological reflection. This appointment supports evening and weekend courses during fall and spring terms, with potential for renewal.

Responsibility
- Deliver engaging theology and biblical studies courses to undergraduate students in a part-time capacity.
- Develop and update course syllabi aligned with program outcomes and accreditation standards.
- Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and perspectives.
- Engage in department meetings, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to assessment initiatives.
- Advise and mentor students, including guidance on academic and career goals.
- Engage in scholarly activity, including research, conference presentations, or publication when possible.
- Represent the institute at community and campus events and support chapel or worship services as appropriate.
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in higher education or a demonstrated track record in university-level instruction.
- Strong knowledge of theological traditions, biblical studies, and ethical frameworks.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to design and deliver courses that accommodate diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, student assessment, and academic integrity standards.
- Commitment to inclusive education, collegial collaboration, and servant leadership.
- Availability to teach during evenings or weekends as required by the schedule.
