Key responsibilities include the following duties, performed with integrity and accuracy:
- Maintain financial records including general ledger entries, vouchers, and accounting documentation.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, monitor balances, and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax withholding, and salary reconciliations.
- Support procurement activities, vendor management, and asset tracking.
- Prepare periodic financial reports, budget monitoring, and variance analyses for management review.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, auditing requirements, and government accounting rules.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support such as filing, records management, and correspondence handling.
Qualifications and experience are essential for success. The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field, with relevant work experience. Strong numeric aptitude, attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Excel and accounting software are expected. - Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of government accounting procedures is a plus.
