Job description

GreenHarvest Agribusiness Ltd. is seeking a results-driven Agribusiness Operations Manager to lead end-to-end operations across our East Africa network. You will work closely with farmers, suppliers, and distributors to drive sustainable growth, improve margins, and ensure exceptional product quality from farm to market.

As our Operations Manager, you’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, leveraging data and technology to optimize procurement, storage, logistics, and compliance across the value chain.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end agribusiness operations including procurement, storage, logistics, and distribution to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Develop and execute farm-to-market strategies that optimize margins while maintaining product quality and traceability.
  • Manage supplier and farmer relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor performance.
  • Oversee quality control, post-harvest handling, storage optimization, and compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Implement data-driven forecasting, inventory planning, and ERP-based workflows to reduce waste and improve service levels.
  • Build and mentor cross-functional teams across procurement, warehousing, and logistics; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead risk management, sustainability programs, and social impact initiatives in line with company values.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in agribusiness operations, supply chain management, or related roles.
  • Proven leadership and budgeting experience; strong vendor and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with proficiency in data analytics and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Knowledge of Kenyan agri-regulations, certifications, and export/import processes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% as needed.
