AgriPulse Inc. is a leading innovator in sustainable agribusiness solutions that empower growers and transform food value chains. We are seeking an experienced Agribusiness Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end operations in the Salinas, California region. You will partner with growers, distributors, and product development teams to optimize throughput, reduce waste, and deliver exceptional value to customers while upholding our commitment to responsible farming practices.
As a key member of our operations leadership team, you will drive performance, safety, and profitability across the supply chain—from input sourcing and production planning to storage, packaging, and distribution. This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain and farm operations, ensuring on-time delivery and product quality.
- Collaborate with growers, warehouses, and logistics partners to optimize inventory, reduce waste, and maximize yield.
- Develop and monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, yield, cost per unit, waste rate, and sustainability metrics.
- Lead cross-functional teams across sourcing, production planning, QA, and logistics to meet business objectives.
- Implement data-driven processes using ERP systems and analytics to forecast demand, manage procurement, and improve efficiency.
- Manage budgets, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on lean operations, automation, and sustainable farming practices.
- Build strong relationships with farmers, distributors, customers, and internal stakeholders to align goals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in agribusiness operations, supply chain, or farm management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and data analytics tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, food safety standards (FSMA), and sustainability practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel up to 20-25% as needed.
