Satellite Office is seeking a seasoned Apparel Merchandise Planner to join our Retail & Consumer Products team. This onsite role is based in Ortigas, Metro Manila and offers the opportunity to shape the assortment and inventory strategy for leading apparel and footwear brands.
As a key planner, you will partner with merchandising, sourcing, and store operations to translate market trends into precise demand forecasts, seasonal buys, and inventory targets. Your work will directly impact sell-through, profitability, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.
In this role, you will leverage data and market insights to optimize assortment breadth, depth, and allocation. You will maintain strict control of open-to-buy, monitor stock health, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute promotional and pricing strategies. The position requires a detail-oriented mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate recommendations clearly to stakeholders. Key performance indicators include sales performance, inventory turnover, gross margin return on investment (GMROI), and on-time delivery of seasonal plans. Responsibility
- Lead merchandise planning for apparel and footwear categories to optimize sales, profitability, and stock health.
- Develop seasonal assortments, allocate buys, and manage open-to-buy targets to meet business objectives.
- Monitor sell-through, GMROI, inventory turns, and vendor performance using data-driven insights.
- Collaborate with Buying, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to align merchandising strategies with company goals.
- Create accurate demand forecasts and range plans based on historical data, market trends, and promotional calendars.
- Maintain item data, pricing, promotions, and markdown strategies within the ERP/merchandising system.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 3+ years of retail merchandising or merchandise planning experience, preferably in apparel or footwear.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP/merchandising systems.
- Experience with demand forecasting, inventory management, and open-to-buy processes.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities; able to work onsite in Ortigas.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of fashion industry trends, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced retail environment and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
