Join SM Retail as a Security Supervisor for our SM San Pablo location and lead a dedicated team that keeps customers and colleagues safe while delivering a welcoming shopping experience. This role blends people leadership with strategic security operations to protect people, assets, and brand standards across the store floor and back‑of‑house areas.
Your primary mission is to enforce store policies, manage risk, and sustain a positive atmosphere where everyone feels secure and valued. You will oversee daily security operations, supervise a team of security officers, and ensure compliance with company procedures, local regulations, and safety guidelines. Through proactive patrols, incident prevention, and rapid response to events, you will help minimize loss, deter theft, and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
As a Security Supervisor, you will collaborate with store leadership to implement optimized security plans, monitor CCTV and access control systems, and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders when needed. You will also champion customer service by assisting guests during safety-related situations and providing clear directions during evacuations or emergencies. Responsibility
- Oversee daily security operations at SM San Pablo, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
- Lead and schedule a team of security officers; provide coaching, performance feedback, and coverage for all shifts.
- Enforce store policies and security procedures to prevent loss, shrinkage, and safety incidents.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control; respond to incidents and coordinate with local authorities when necessary.
- Conduct regular patrols and risk assessments; implement corrective actions to address vulnerabilities.
- Prepare incident reports, maintain accurate logs, and ensure timely communication with store leadership.
- Provide customer service support during security-related situations; de-escalate conflicts and assist guests as needed.
- Participate in ongoing safety trainings and help train new security staff on procedures and customer service.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in security supervision, preferably in retail or shopping center environments (2+ years).
- Strong knowledge of loss prevention, CCTV systems, access control, incident reporting, and emergency procedures.
- Leadership and people-management skills with the ability to motivate a small team and manage shift coverage.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to incidents; basic first aid knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in English and Filipino; good written and verbal communication with customers and colleagues.
