Ideals Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Appraiser for a leading luxury brand in the Central Region. This role focuses on authenticating and valuing high-end items, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining pristine brand presentation across the store.
As an Appraiser, you will evaluate the authenticity and condition of luxury goods, including handbags, watches, jewelry, and designer accessories. You will provide accurate valuations, assist clients with pricing guidance, and document appraisal notes with clear reports and imagery. The position offers a structured 5-day workweek aligned with retail hours, with a competitive base salary up to 2,700 SGD plus variable bonuses.
Key responsibilities include engaging with customers, explaining valuation outcomes, and ensuring seamless service from intake to sale. You will collaborate with brand partners and store teams to optimize the client experience, maintain merchandising standards, and uphold loss-prevention controls. A proactive approach to market trends and product knowledge will help you deliver credible recommendations and build trust with discerning buyers and consignors.

Responsibility
- Authenticate and appraise luxury items to confirm authenticity and assess condition, including bags, watches, jewelry, and accessories.
- Provide accurate valuations and pricing guidance to clients based on market trends and item provenance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, respond to inquiries, and communicate appraisal results clearly and professionally.
- Document appraisal notes with detailed descriptions and high quality photos for traceability.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support store merchandising standards on the shop floor.
- Collaborate with brand partners and internal teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and customer experience.
- Adhere to risk controls and loss prevention procedures while handling consignments and sales.
Qualification
- 1-3 years of experience in luxury retail, appraisal, or authentication.
- Strong knowledge of luxury brands, materials, and current market values.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- High attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude for valuation work.
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory software, and basic reporting.
- Ability to work a 5 day retail schedule including weekends as required.
- Fluent English; additional languages such as Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil are a plus.
