Responsibility
- Prepare, scale, and bake doughs for breads, pastries, and seasonal offerings with precision and consistency.
- Monitor fermentation, proofing, and oven performance to achieve optimal texture and flavor.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and uphold strict sanitation and food safety standards.
- Follow recipes and portion controls while maintaining product quality and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with the head baker on daily production plans and recipe development.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering, and rotating stock to minimize waste.
- Mentor junior bakers and apprentices, sharing techniques and best practices.
Qualification
- 2+ years of professional bakery experience; pastry backgrounds welcomed.
- Strong knowledge of artisanal breads, sourdough, croissants, and laminated doughs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable with early morning shifts and weekend work.
- Proficiency with mixers, dough sheeters, proofing cabinets, ovens, and related bakery equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and consistent quality.
- Team player with a positive attitude and reliable attendance.
