Job description

MCi Career Services is recruiting on behalf of CHS, a respected manufacturer in Singapore, for an Assembly Operator / Technician. This full-time role offers a stable 5-day workweek and a competitive monthly salary of SGD 2,100 – 3,000. You will contribute to the assembly of high-quality units and components, ensuring that each item meets exact specifications and safety standards.

In this role, you will interpret basic diagrams and work instructions, set up and operate assembly stations, and perform thorough visual and functional checks on parts and completed assemblies. You will document production data, track batch quality, and escalate issues to maintain continuous line performance. This position is ideal for hands-on professionals who take pride in precision, reliability, and teamwork.

As part of a collaborative production team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe workspace, adhering to standard operating procedures, and participating in quality assurance checks. You will also support minor maintenance tasks and equipment setup, and you may assist with line changes to support product variants and process improvements. Training will be provided for specific equipment and processes to help you grow within the role.

Key duties include assembling units and components per specifications, performing visual and functional inspections, adjusting equipment settings to maintain tolerances, recording production data for traceability, and communicating clearly with teammates and supervisors to resolve issues quickly. The role emphasizes quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to advance as you gain experience in electronics and mechanical assembly.

Responsibility

  • Assemble units and components in line with specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform visual and functional checks on parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate assembly equipment; monitor line speeds and tolerances.
  • Document production data, batch numbers, and defect details for traceability.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and continuous improvement goals.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; adhere to safety protocols and SOPs.
  • Identify and report issues or potential defects to supervisors; participate in root-cause analysis when needed.
  • Support equipment maintenance and participate in line changes for product variants.

Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience in assembly or technician roles, preferably in electronics or mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read simple diagrams, schematics, and blueprints; basic measurement skills (calipers, rulers).
  • Strong manual dexterity and good hand–eye coordination; comfortable with repetitive tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy; good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced production environment; commitment to safety and process adherence.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and line reporting; ability to learn new equipment quickly.
  • Willingness to work in Singapore’s West Region and participate in a 5-day workweek.
