As an Assistant Human Resources Manager, you will help lead the people strategy for a premium beachfront property in Malay, Aklan, delivering outstanding guest experiences by empowering our colleagues.
Your role focuses on delivering a seamless employee experience—from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee relations. You will partner with department leaders to attract, develop, and retain top talent, uphold Marriott brand standards and local employment laws, and foster a culture of service and teamwork across all hotel departments. This position offers a unique mix of strategic HR leadership and hands on operational support in a fast paced resort environment.
Key responsibilities include supporting recruitment and onboarding, administering HR programs and payroll coordination, assisting with performance reviews, administering compensation and benefits, ensuring compliance with Philippines labor laws and Marriott policies, and driving employee engagement initiatives. You will also manage HRIS data integrity, prepare reports for leadership, and support wellness, safety, and training programs that enhance guest satisfaction and colleague development.

Responsibility
- Partner with department leaders to plan and execute recruitment onboarding and talent development for hotel operations
- Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle including sourcing interviewing selection and offer management for all hotel positions
- Administer performance management processes coaching and development planning to drive guest satisfaction and colleague engagement
- Oversee payroll coordination benefits administration and HR policies to ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and Marriott standards
- Manage employee relations investigations disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution with a fair and consistent approach
- Maintain accurate HRIS data generate management reports and protect the confidentiality and privacy of colleague information
- Support training safety wellness initiatives and guest service programs to uphold the Four Points by Sheraton guest experience
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2-4 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in hospitality or service industries
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, regulatory requirements, and Marriott policies
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems and data analytics; strong Excel skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving abilities; fluent in English
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Customer service minded with a collaborative approach and ability to work in a fast paced resort environment
