Malayan Flour Mills is seeking a proactive HR Intern to join our People and Culture team in Pasir Gudang, Johor. This hands-on opportunity is designed for students currently enrolled in a degree program such as Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or Communications. You will gain exposure to the full spectrum of human resources operations, from candidate sourcing to onboarding and employee experience.
As an HR Intern, you will collaborate with recruiters, HR coordinators, and business leaders to support end-to-end HR processes. You will assist with job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication. You will help with onboarding activities, prepare offer letters, and organize orientation sessions for new hires. You will also assist with maintaining accurate employee records, HR data entry, and HRIS updates to ensure data privacy and compliance. In addition, you will support employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and HR project work that enhances efficiency and effectiveness of our HR services.

Responsibility
- Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Coordinate candidate interviews and maintain a positive candidate experience.
- Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires, including offer letter preparation and document collection.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR data in the HR information system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with payroll data entry, timesheets, and benefits administration support as needed.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications to strengthen company culture.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvements, such as policy reviews and training coordination.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the HR team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualification
- Currently enrolled in a university/college degree program in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HRIS or applicant tracking systems.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Available for a minimum of 3-6 months and able to commit to full-time hours during the internship period.
