Saintbridge University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Theology to join our dynamic School of Liberal Arts. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs, advance research in theological studies, and mentor students from diverse backgrounds.
We seek a scholar with a robust teaching portfolio, a record of publication, and a commitment to rigorous academic inquiry within the Christian theological tradition as well as interfaith engagement. The position includes teaching responsibilities, research expectations, service, and active student mentorship.
Responsibility
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in theology and related fields.
- Develop new course content and innovative pedagogy.
- Advance scholarly research and publish in peer reviewed venues.
- Advise and mentor students, including supervision of theses and capstones.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program assessment.
- Engage with local faith communities and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Participate in faculty governance, committees, and service activities.
Qualification
- Terminal degree in theology or a closely related field by start date.
- Strong record of teaching excellence and scholarly publications.
- Ability to teach from a breadth of theological traditions and engage in interfaith dialogue.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and collaborative skills.
- Commitment to inclusive excellence and diversity in the classroom and campus.
