We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant QA Engineer to support our quality assurance efforts in Penang. In this entry level role, you will learn by doing, working closely with engineers and operators to ensure that every product meets our high standards of reliability and performance.
You will participate in the full quality lifecycle, from reviewing requirements and creating test cases to executing tests and documenting results. This position focuses on manual testing, defect tracking, and facilitating clear communication across cross functional teams. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, reduce defects, and strengthen our compliance with internal and external standards.

Responsibility
- Assist QA team in day to day testing of manufacturing software and related systems
- Document and execute test cases and verify results against specifications
- Log defects in the tracking system and follow up on remediation with the engineering team
- Support QA metrics collection and reporting to measure product quality
- Assist in audits and process improvements to maintain compliance with quality standards
- Coordinate with production and development teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes
- Review product requirements to ensure test coverage aligns with customer needs
- Support testing of new features in a controlled environment
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in engineering, information technology or related field
- Basic understanding of QA concepts and software testing life cycle
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or similar
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team
- Willingness to learn and grow in a manufacturing QA environment
- Knowledge of data validation and basic SQL is a plus
