Responsibility

  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.
  • Manage discovery, including electronically stored information, deposition prep, and document production.
  • Conduct legal research and synthesize complex analysis for case strategy.
  • Advise clients on risk, settlement options, and litigation timelines.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates on complex commercial disputes.
  • Manage caseloads, track budgets, and maintain clear client communication.
  • Prepare for hearings, mediations, and trial readiness, including witness preparation.
  • Support business development and contribute to firm thought leadership.

Qualification

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school; admitted to the New York State Bar.
  • 2-5 years of commercial litigation experience with a proven track record in pleadings and motions.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills; strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters with superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with eDiscovery tooling, case management software, and legal tech.
