- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for large astronomical datasets.
- Collaborate with telescope operators to optimize observation scheduling and data quality.
- Develop algorithms for image processing, source extraction, and time-domain analysis.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Mentor graduate students and interns; contribute to training materials.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to drive discovery and instrumentation feedback.
- Support grant proposals and project reporting to funders as needed.
Qualification
- PhD in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent research experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with astronomical data analysis and Python.
- Proficiency with Python and scientific libraries (Astropy, NumPy, SciPy, Pandas) and data visualization (Matplotlib/Seaborn).
- Experience with large datasets, HPC environments, and cloud computing (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
