Responsibility
- Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on gasoline and diesel engines.
- Repair or replace worn components including brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
- Perform electrical system troubleshooting and component replacement.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and document findings for customers and service records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace; follow safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team to upsell recommended maintenance and repairs where appropriate.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to a positive shop culture.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or ASE certifications preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on automotive repair experience in a fast-paced shop.
- Strong knowledge of engines, electrical systems, brakes, and drivability diagnostics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair software; ability to read schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to lift heavy parts up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or Saturdays as needed.
