Responsibility
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, and climate control.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and road tests to ensure reliability and safety.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify root causes and plan efficient repairs.
- Document all service activities, parts used, and time estimates in the service management system.
- Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings and provide accurate repair timelines.
- Follow safety, environmental, and quality standards; adhere to shop policies and best practices.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to a culture of learning and teamwork.
Qualification
- 3+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience or equivalent; ASE certifications are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of engines, transmissions, fuel systems, electrical diagnostics, and PCM/ECM programming.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (OBD-II, multi-meters, scopes) and service information systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and repair manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
