As a Barista, you will be the face of our brand, delivering consistently excellent beverages and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
Responsibility
- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks to standard recipes, including lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, and seasonal beverages.
- Engage with guests, take orders accurately, and upsell where appropriate to enhance the guest experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked espresso bar and front-of-house area.
- Operate the POS system efficiently, handle cash and card transactions, and balance cash at shift end.
- Monitor stock levels, restock ingredients, and communicate needs to management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards and handle allergens responsibly.
- Articulate latte art and beverage presentation to elevate customer delight; mentor junior teammates as needed.
- Represent the brand in a positive, collaborative manner and contribute to a high-performance team culture.
Qualification
- 1+ year of barista experience or demonstrated passion for specialty coffee and guest service.
- Knowledge of espresso extraction, grind size, dosing, milk texturing, and beverage troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a friendly, patient demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays; availability for rotating shifts.
- Basic cash handling and POS experience; comfort with learning new technology.
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain; knowledge of allergen handling is a plus.
- Team player with a positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
