Join our award-winning cafe team at Aurora Coffee Collective, a premium coffee concept in Seattle. We are seeking a personable Barista who delivers exceptional guest experiences, crafts exquisite espresso-based beverages, and contributes to a warm and inviting atmosphere.
As a Barista, you will be the face of our brand—creating moments of delight for every guest and helping to build a loyal following through consistent, high-quality beverages and friendly service. This role offers growth opportunities within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.
Responsibility
- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks and brewed beverages to standard recipes with attention to quality and consistency.
- Engage with customers to understand preferences, make recommendations, and ensure a memorable guest experience.
- Operate and maintain clean and organized bar station, including grinding, dosing, tamping, and steaming milk.
- Manage point-of-sale transactions accurately and handle cash and card payments with integrity.
- Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and disposables; restock as needed.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines and maintain daily sanitization routines.
- Collaborate with teammates to optimize workflow during peak periods and support training for new staff.
Qualification
- Experience as a barista or in a hospitality-focused customer service role is preferred.
- Knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, milk steaming, and pull/ pour consistency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, positive attitude, and guest-centric mindset.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math for POS transactions and ability to handle cash and card payments.
- Food safety training or certifications are a plus.
