Responsibilities include working with the espresso machine, dialing in coffees, crafting drinks to spec, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will also assist with store operations, maintain clean stations, handle cash and POS transactions, and uphold food safety standards.
Responsibility
- Prepare espresso based drinks to specification while maintaining consistency and quality
- Dial in grinders and espresso machines to achieve ideal extraction
- Craft latte art and visually appealing beverages
- Deliver friendly, efficient customer service with a positive attitude
- Operate the POS system accurately and handle cash responsibly
- Keep workstations clean, organized and stocked with essentials
- Assist with opening and closing duties and side duties as assigned
- Support inventory management and restocking, ensuring accurate counts
Qualification
- 3+ months experience as a barista or in a similar fast paced cafe environment
- Strong knowledge of espresso, milk texturing, and beverage preparation
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi task, stay calm under pressure, and manage busy periods
- Professional demeanor and reliability with a positive team mindset
- Basic math and cash handling skills; familiarity with POS systems
- Food safety awareness and adherence to hygiene standards
