Responsibility
- Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages with precision and consistency.
- Engage with guests to understand preferences, upsell seasonal drinks, and ensure an exceptional experience.
- Maintain clean and organized workstation, equipment, and overall cafe area.
- Operate POS systems, manage cash handling, and process mobile orders accurately.
- Dial in and calibrate grinders and espresso machines; monitor beverage quality during shifts.
- Deliver barista services for events, pop-ups, and catering with professionalism and timeliness.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with team to optimize workflows and improve service speed.
Qualification
- 2+ years of barista experience in a specialty cafe or high-volume cafe.
- Proficiency with espresso extraction, milk texturing, and latte art.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills in English; multi-lingual a plus.
- Experience with POS systems (Square, Toast, or similar) and cash handling accuracy.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, weekends, and occasional events.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Food Handler's or ServSafe certification preferred.
- Commitment to sustainable and ethical coffee practices.
