As a Barista Services Specialist, you’ll deliver mobile and on-site barista support, train junior staff, and uphold brand standards across client sites. We value reliability, hospitality, and a drive for continuous improvement.
Responsibility
- Set up and operate espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment to deliver high-quality beverages on site.
- Prepare a full range of espresso-based drinks with accuracy and speed, following established recipes.
- Engage with customers, take orders, upsell complementary items, and maintain outstanding hospitality.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar area, glassware, and equipment; adhere to safety guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior baristas on technique, consistency, and customer service standards.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory, and coordinate replenishment with client managers.
- Ensure brand standards and service level agreements are met across all client sites, including events.
Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of professional barista experience or equivalent in high-volume environments.
- Proficiency with manual and semi-automatic espresso machines; knowledge of grinders, dosing, tamping, and milk texturing.
- Demonstrated latte art skills and ability to create visually appealing beverages.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and cash-handling skills; able to upsell effectively.
- Availability for flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and events.
- Food handling and safety certification; commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
- Reliable transportation or close proximity to the Melbourne service area.
