Join Zhengxi Technology Sdn Bhd, a forward thinking manufacturer specializing in precision metal components. As a Bending Machine Operator, you will operate conventional bending machines to form parts that meet strict engineering drawings and work orders. This role is based in Banting, Selangor and offers a stable salary of RM 3,000 – RM 4,500 per month, with opportunities for skill development and career growth within a dynamic production environment.
Your responsibilities include setting up and operating bending equipment, selecting the correct tooling, loading materials accurately, and monitoring each cycle for accuracy. You will read blueprints and process sheets, verify tolerances with calipers and micrometers, and perform in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications. The role requires strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, with adherence to housekeeping and 5S standards.
As part of a collaborative manufacturing team, you will communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues to resolve issues and ensure on-time production. You will participate in routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime, while maintaining records of production output, quality data, and machine settings for traceability.
We look for candidates who are self motivated, reliable, and able to work in a fast paced environment. Prior experience with conventional bending machines and metal fabrication is preferred, but training is provided for the right candidate. Language: basic English and safety compliance with PPE usage are required.
Responsibility
- Set up and operate conventional bending machines to form metal parts according to drawings and work orders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and tolerances to ensure accuracy.
- Load, align, and secure raw materials; select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings.
- Monitor production cycles, measure formed parts with calipers and micrometers, and record results.
- Perform in-process quality checks; identify defects and adjust or stop the machine to prevent waste.
- Maintain machine and work area; perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in 5S and lean initiatives; report hazards promptly.
- Collaborate with team to meet daily targets and provide clear shift handovers.
Qualification
- 1-2 years of experience operating bending or press brake machines in manufacturing.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand process sheets and tolerances.
- Proficient in using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) and basic gauging.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to adjust machine settings.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and proper PPE usage; adheres to 5S and housekeeping.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
