Responsibility
- Provide accurate and impartial interpretation for patients and healthcare providers in Mandarin and English during medical appointments, calls, and consultations.
- Translate medical documents, patient histories, and instructions clearly and professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting situations.
- Assist patients in navigating healthcare procedures, appointments, and administrative processes.
- Relay medical terminology and complex information accurately while preserving tone and intent.
- Support healthcare staff in understanding cultural nuances that may impact patient care.
- Document and report any issues or misunderstandings during interpretation sessions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with medical terminology and interpreting best practices.
Qualification
- Fluency in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations.
- Good listening skills with a keen attention to detail.
- No prior interpreting experience required; training will be provided.
