Job description
Bruker Corporation is seeking a highly motivated BPEN Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Penang, Malaysia. In this role, you will ensure that manufactured components and assembled subsystems meet Bruker's exacting standards for quality, performance, and reliability. You will partner with design engineers, operations, and supply chain to develop and sustain robust, scalable production processes for high-precision instrumentation.
As a BPEN Manufacturing Engineer, you will own process design and optimization for the production of subsystems used in Bruker analytical instruments. You will create and maintain process instructions, control plans, validation protocols, and inspection criteria. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce variation, scrap, and cycle times while maximizing first-pass yield and on-time delivery.
You will collaborate with global teams to resolve technical issues, drive design-for-manufacturability improvements, and implement automation or semi-automated solutions where appropriate. You will ensure compliance with quality systems (ISO 9001) and EHS requirements, document best practices, and train operations staff to standardized work. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge scientific instrumentation and to grow with a world-class organization in Penang.
Ideal candidates bring a degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering, plus hands-on experience with high-fidelity assembly and testing of precision subsystems. A track record of successful process validations, CAPA handling, and data-driven decision making is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams are important in this collaborative environment.
Bruker offers competitive compensation, opportunities for career growth, and a dynamic, safety-focused culture. Join us in Penang to be part of a global team delivering instruments that advance scientific discovery.
