Join a premium branding studio in New York as our Brand Director. You will shape brand strategy, identity, and experiences for emerging and established clients, driving growth and recognition.
You will lead a cross-disciplinary team to craft cohesive brand systems and ensure execution across product, packaging, digital, and retail channels. Partner with product, marketing, design, and executive teams to translate strategy into compelling creative.
Responsibility
- Define and advance the brand strategy, positioning, and architecture for multiple clients and internal initiatives.
- Lead development of visual identity systems, inclusive of logos, typography, color, and usage guidelines.
- Craft messaging frameworks and storytelling that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement.
- Oversee brand guidelines enforcement across all touchpoints, including digital, print, packaging, and experiences.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and design teams to translate brand strategy into campaigns, products, and experiences.
- Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary team; partner with external agencies and vendors as needed.
- Measure brand health through metrics, dashboards, and research; translate insights into action.
Qualification
- 8+ years in branding, brand strategy, or design leadership with a strong portfolio demonstrating brand system development.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Proven track record in building or transforming brands for consumer or B2B audiences.
- Expertise in brand strategy, identity systems, typography, color, and design language.
- Experience across multiple channels (digital, social, packaging, retail) and with agency partnerships.
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite and clients.
- Strong project management and ability to juggle multiple initiatives with cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) and brand management platforms.
