Lumina Brand Studio is seeking a Branding Lead to shape and elevate brands for a diverse roster of clients in New York City. This full-time role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership, guiding teams to deliver distinctive, consistent, and measurable brand experiences.
As a central figure in our creative leadership, you will own brand architecture, identity systems, messaging frameworks, and the way brands come to life across products, marketing, and experiences. You will collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering stakeholders to ensure brand integrity from concept through execution, while mentoring designers and writers to grow their craft.

Responsibility
- Lead brand strategy, positioning, and architecture for client and internal brands.
- Develop and govern comprehensive visual identity systems including logos, color, typography, and iconography.
- Craft messaging frameworks, tone of voice, and storytelling principles across channels.
- Oversee design work, mentor designers and writers, and lead cross-functional critique sessions.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales to ensure brand consistency in launches and campaigns.
- Build and maintain scalable brand assets and design systems for rapid product and marketing initiatives.
Qualification
- 7+ years of branding, design, or brand strategy experience in agency or in-house settings; standout portfolio required.
- Proven track record in brand strategy, identity design, naming, and brand system development.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Illustrator, InDesign; familiarity with motion is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to executives and stakeholders.
- Experience leading teams or cross-functional squads and guiding junior designers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
