We are partnering with a premium branding agency in New York City to find a visionary Brand Director who can elevate identity systems, product narratives, and campaigns for a diverse portfolio of consumer brands. This is an opportunity to lead brand strategy at a top-tier agency known for impact-driven work and elegant, human-centered design.
As Brand Director, you will own the brand strategy and creative product vision, partner with product, marketing, and design teams, and guide the evolution of visual identity systems across channels. You will act as a steward of brand equity, ensuring consistency, differentiation, and measurable outcomes.
Responsibility
- Lead development of brand strategy, positioning, and messaging for multiple brands and product lines.
- Define visual identity systems, typography, color, and design guidelines that scale across touchpoints.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and design teams to ensure brand consistency across digital, packaging, and retail experiences.
- Inspire and direct creative development from concept to execution, including campaigns, launches, and experiential activations.
- Uncover consumer insights, conduct brand tracking, and translate findings into strategic plans and creative briefs.
- Manage external partners (agencies, freelancers) and internal stakeholders, while mentoring junior team members.
Qualification
- 7+ years in branding, brand strategy, or creative leadership with a strong consumer-brand portfolio.
- Proven ability to shape brand architecture, messaging frameworks, and identity systems that drive growth.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with product, design, and marketing leaders.
- Strong visual design sensibility with proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) and production processes.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, brand storytelling, and multi-channel campaigns.
