Job description
As a Business Advisory Officer at Indonesia Eximbank, you will guide business units to operate within the full spectrum of applicable laws, regulations, and statutory requirements. You will partner with departments across the bank to implement robust compliance programs, monitor regulatory changes, and translate complex rules into practical policies and procedures that support responsible growth.
You will help ensure that all activities align with Bank Indonesia and OJK standards while strengthening risk management and internal controls. Your responsibilities include interpreting regulatory updates, conducting risk assessments, developing training materials, and coordinating with Legal, Risk, Compliance and Operations teams to embed regulatory excellence into daily operations. You will also participate in cross functional projects, support regulatory examinations, and help drive digital compliance initiatives across the organization. The role reports to the head of regulatory and legal affairs and works closely with the risk and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management and regulators.

Responsibility
- Provide guidance to business units to ensure operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Monitor regulatory changes from Bank Indonesia and OJK and translate them into actionable policies, procedures, and control activities.
- Conduct regulatory risk assessments, identify gaps, and propose practical mitigations to protect the bank and its clients.
- Develop and deliver training programs on compliance, ethics, and controls for staff across functions.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to design, document, and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and present compliance dashboards, reports, and management insights to senior leadership and committees.
- Coordinate interactions with regulators, support examinations, and respond to inquiries with timely, accurate information.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Law, Business, Finance or a related field; a master degree or professional certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or legal advisory within banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of Bank Indonesia and OJK regulatory frameworks and supervisory expectations.
- Excellent analytical thinking, risk assessment skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Indonesian and English; ability to translate complex rules into practical guidance.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions, manage multiple stakeholders, and work under deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and compliance management tools; experience with policy documentation and reporting platforms.
- Professional certification in compliance, risk management, or law is a plus.
