StaffKing Pte Ltd is partnering with a leading semiconductor manufacturer to hire a motivated Buyer who will support critical material sourcing for high precision production. This full-time, five-day role offers a stable work schedule from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and is located in Singapore's vibrant North East region, just three MRT stops from Tai Seng. You will join a dynamic team focused on delivering quality, reliability and cost efficiency for complex components and materials used in semiconductor manufacturing.
As a Buyer in this environment, you will collaborate with planning, engineering and production colleagues to secure materials on time, manage supplier performance and implement continuous improvement in procurement processes. Responsibility
- Source and evaluate supplier quotes, terms and lead times to support semiconductor manufacturing procurement.
- Negotiate price, delivery and payment terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance and mitigate supply risks across the supplier base.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and timely approvals.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to align material availability with production schedules.
- Maintain accurate vendor master data, contracts and procurement records for compliance and audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with logistics to optimize the supply chain and reduce stockouts.
- Support supplier quality initiatives and participate in continuous improvement programs.
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in supply chain management, procurement, engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of procurement or buying experience in semiconductor or manufacturing environments.
- Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of MRP, BOM and material planning processes and standards.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams and adapt to a fast paced environment.
