As a key member of the procurement team, you will design and execute category strategies, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and manage contracts and onboarding. You will partner with Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing to align demand with supply, optimize inventory, and minimize stockouts. Your data-driven approach will analyze spend, supplier performance, and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end procurement for food ingredients, packaging, and related materials, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation.
- Negotiate terms, prices, delivery schedules, and service levels with key suppliers; manage contracts and vendor onboarding.
- Manage purchase orders, approvals, and supplier performance metrics; monitor on-time delivery and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with Product Development, QA, Manufacturing, and Logistics to align demand with supply and minimize stockouts.
- Analyze spend data and supplier performance to identify optimization opportunities; prepare cost-saving initiatives and present results to leadership.
- Lead supplier risk management, quality audits, and supplier development programs to ensure food safety standards.
- Drive process improvements, including ERP or procurement system enhancements, promoting compliance and data accuracy.
Qualification
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of procurement experience in the food industry or FMCG, with a track record of cost savings.
- Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), procurement tools, and advanced Excel; experience with demand planning is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance (HACCP, FSMA or equivalent) and quality assurance processes.
- Analytical thinker with strong data interpretation, budgeting, and spend analysis abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Eligibility to work in Singapore and willingness to travel occasionally if needed.
