Skylight Aviation Group is seeking an experienced Captain to lead our expanding fleet in Seattle. You will operate modern aircraft, mentor flight crews, and uphold the highest safety and service standards. As Captain, you will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned flights, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering an outstanding passenger experience. You will collaborate with the Director of Operations, dispatch, and maintenance teams to optimize flight schedules and performance.
Responsibility
- Lead and operate designated aircraft in accordance with FARs, airline SOPs, and company policies.
- Supervise and coordinate flight crew, ensure crew briefings, and manage operational risk.
- Oversee preflight planning, fuel budgeting, weight and balance calculations, and flight planning data.
- Maintain situational awareness, make timely decisions, and communicate effectively with ATC and crew.
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Review and sign off on flight logs, MEL items, and incident reports; participate in post flight debriefs.
- Mentor junior pilots, support training programs, and contribute to safety culture initiatives.
Qualification
- Active FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate ATPL or ATP with appropriate type rating
- Minimum of 5,000 flight hours with 2,000 PIC hours; multi crew cockpit experience required
- Type ratings on Boeing 737, Airbus A320 family or equivalent with current flight deck currency
- Current First Class FAA medical certificate and valid US passport; ability to travel as required
- Strong leadership CRM and communication skills; calm under pressure
- Proficient in flight planning navigation systems and performance calculations IFR proficiency
- Commitment to safety regulatory compliance and continuous improvement flexible with rotating shifts
