Search Personnel is seeking a results-driven Category Manager for Consumer Electronics based in the West Region, Singapore. This role owns the end-to-end management of a fast-moving electronics category, including product lifecycle planning, demand forecasting, inventory stewardship, and P&L oversight. The ideal candidate brings 3-6 years of product or category experience, a strong Excel toolkit, and a commercial mindset focused on growth, profitability, and shopper insights. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to unlock opportunities, optimize assortments, and deliver compelling value to customers.
In this role, you will drive performance across the category by combining data analytics with strategic thinking to shape pricing, promotions, and go-to-market initiatives. You will monitor market trends and competitive dynamics, inform supplier negotiations, and shape the category roadmap to maximize revenue and margin. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end category management for consumer electronics, including assortment planning, SKU rationalization, and lifecycle management.
- Develop and monitor demand forecasts, inventory targets, and replenishment strategies to optimize turnover and stock levels.
- Analyze sales, margin, and promotional performance to drive pricing strategies and promotional calendars.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to support launches and lifecycle plans.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and manage performance through clear scorecards.
- Prepare quarterly and annual category reviews, business cases, and P&L performance analyses to inform leadership decisions.
- Identify opportunities for digital merchandising, omnichannel integration, and shopper insights to improve category depth and profitability.
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitive dynamics to guide assortment and strategy in a fast-moving electronics market.
Qualification
- 3-6 years of product or category management experience, preferably in consumer electronics.
- Strong Excel modeling and data-analysis skills; experience with forecasting and scenario planning.
- Proven ability to manage P&L, budgeting, and financial performance metrics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to translate market data and consumer insights into actionable business strategies.
- Familiarity with retail, e-commerce, and go-to-market processes across multiple channels.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
