About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Commercial Lead to accelerate the growth of basketball sponsorships in the Philippines. You will identify and secure strategic partnerships, build sponsorship opportunities, and manage the revenue-generating side of our basketball initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and has a passion for sports, marketing, and brand partnerships.
What You Will Do
In this contract role, you will lead the end-to-end sponsorship lifecycle—prospecting, negotiations, deal closure, activation planning, and post-partner evaluation. You will craft compelling value propositions, tailor proposals to partner needs, and collaborate with Marketing, Events, and Basketball Operations to deliver integrated activation programs.
You will build a robust sponsorship pipeline, maintain strong relationships with sponsors, agencies, venues, and league organizers, and drive renewals and expansion. You will monitor performance against KPIs, generate insights for strategy optimization, and oversee budgets and contract administration.

Responsibility
- Develop and own a partnerships strategy to grow the business side of Philippine basketball, identifying sponsorship opportunities, lead generation, and deal closing.
- Build and manage a robust sponsorship pipeline; negotiate contracts and sponsorship terms with brands and partners.
- Create compelling sponsorship propositions, pitches, and proposals tailored to partners, including activations, rights, and ROI metrics.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Events, and Basketball Operations to activate partnerships and maximize revenue.
- Manage relationships with sponsors, agencies, venues, and league organizers; ensure partner satisfaction and renewals.
- Track performance metrics and report on revenue impact, activation success, and ROIs; continuously optimize strategy.
- Oversee budget management, forecasting, and contract administration; ensure compliance with regulatory and brand guidelines.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in partnerships, sponsorship sales, or business development, preferably in sports or entertainment.
- Proven track record of closing sponsorship deals and generating revenue; strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities; comfort working with senior-level executives.
- Strategic thinker with strong project management skills; data-driven decision maker with analytics experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple initiatives concurrently; willing to travel as needed.
- Experience with contract negotiations, activation planning, and budgeting.
