Responsibility
- Conduct regular security patrols and monitor all access points to ensure facility safety.
- Supervise inmate movement, maintain orderly conduct, and enforce facility rules and procedures.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and calls for assistance with calmness and clear communication.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and log daily activities in the security information system.
- Coordinate with corrections staff, health services, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Assist in search and surveillance operations while respecting inmates' rights and safety protocols.
- Assist with intake, orientation, and release procedures for authorized personnel and visitors.
- Support administrative tasks such as inventory control, equipment maintenance, and facility security checks.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or safety preferred.
- Age 21 or older with good moral character and no disqualifying criminal record.
- Physical fitness and the ability to pass required medical and background checks.
- Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
