Responsibility

  • Prepare, review, and file customs documentation for import and export shipments to ensure accurate clearance.
  • Classify goods using Harmonized System (HS) codes and determine correct duty/tax obligations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and government agencies (BOC) to track clearance status and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine customs laws, regulations, and trade controls; monitor regulatory changes.
  • Maintain precise data in ERP/MIS systems and ensure all records are complete and auditable.
  • Assist in the preparation of manifests, single administrative documents, and other required declarations.
  • Identify process improvements to shorten clearance times and reduce costs while maintaining compliance.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a customs broker or classifier, preferably in the Philippines.
  • Strong knowledge of HS classification, tariff schedules, and Philippine customs procedures.
  • Familiarity with Bureau of Customs (BOC) requirements and trade compliance.
