Responsibility
- Monitor, assess, and ensure company-wide compliance with the Data Privacy Act and related regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data privacy policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Conduct regular privacy impact assessments and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate employee training and raise awareness on data privacy best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and data subjects regarding data privacy inquiries or issues.
- Investigate and manage data breaches or incidents, ensuring timely reporting and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to embed privacy by design into business processes, projects, and new initiatives.
- Prepare and submit mandatory reports to regulatory bodies, and maintain up-to-date documentation on privacy practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or a similar role, preferably within a BPO or multinational environment.
- Expert knowledge of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and other relevant Philippine and international privacy laws.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience handling data breaches and coordinating responses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence at all organizational levels.
- Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CDPO, or equivalent are advantageous.
