Join the Community Impact Foundation, a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to advancing equitable education in New York City. We are seeking a motivated Development Associate to broaden our donor base, manage fundraising campaigns, and support grant activities that expand community programs.
In this role, you will collaborate with the development team to cultivate relationships, track fundraising metrics, and ensure donor stewardship that reflects our values of transparency and impact.
Responsibility
- Assist in planning and execution of annual fundraising campaigns across channels (mail, email, events).
- Manage donor database, track gifts, fulfill acknowledgments, and ensure data integrity in CRM.
- Coordinate donor stewardship activities and maintain timely donor acknowledgement timelines.
- Assist with grant research, proposal development, and reporting for foundations and corporate partners.
- Support special events, including logistics, registration, and post-event follow-up.
- Prepare fundraising analytics and dashboards to inform strategy and leadership decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit operations.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, Bloomerang, or similar) and fundraising analytics.
- Strong written and verbal communication, grant writing basics, and donor stewardship skills.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Commitment to the nonprofit sector and mission alignment with education equity.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
