Join a mission-driven nonprofit focused on expanding access to education for underserved youth. We’re seeking a motivated Development Manager to lead our fundraising efforts and build durable relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners. This role reports to the Director of Development and plays a pivotal part in shaping a sustainable resource strategy for our programs.
The ideal candidate combines fundraising know-how with data-driven thinking, exceptional communication, and the ability to collaborate across teams to maximize impact.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute the annual fundraising plan to meet revenue targets across donor segments and program areas.
- Lead grant research, proposal development, and reporting to foundations and government funders.
- Manage donor stewardship, cultivation events, and timely recognition, ensuring strong ongoing relationships.
- Oversee CRM data hygiene, pipeline tracking, and performance reporting to the leadership team.
- Collaborate with program staff to translate outcomes into compelling funding requests and impact storytelling.
- Plan and execute donor events and digital campaigns to expand supporter engagement.
- Identify and cultivate major gifts, corporate partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities.
- Advise on marketing materials, communications, and accessibility to broaden reach.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of fundraising experience in a nonprofit environment, with a track record of securing grants and gifts.
- Strong grant writing and donor communications skills with attention to outcomes and impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to tell compelling stories.
- Experience with donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, Bloomerang) and data-driven fundraising.
- Proven project management and event planning abilities with strong organization and time management.
- Collaborative teamwork skills and ability to work with diverse partners and volunteers.
