BrightPath Foundation is seeking an experienced Development Manager to advance our mission in Seattle. This pivotal role leads donor relations, grant programs, and fundraising strategies to support high-impact youth education initiatives.
As a member of a collaborative team, you will cultivate relationships with individuals, foundations, and corporations, manage fundraising campaigns, and ensure responsible stewardship of all gifts. The ideal candidate combines a passion for social impact with strong communication, project management, and data-driven decision making.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute the annual fundraising plan to meet revenue targets and support program outcomes.
- Manage donor stewardship, cultivation, and major gift strategies to grow contributed income.
- Lead grant research, writing, and reporting for private foundations and government funders.
- Plan and coordinate donor events, campaigns, and appeals to drive engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with program staff and communications to align fundraising with program outcomes and impact storytelling.
- Maintain and optimize the donor CRM, track key metrics, and produce regular donor reports for leadership.
- Develop prospect research and pipeline strategies; represent the organization at meetings with partners and donors as needed.
- Supervise a small development team or work with volunteers to execute fundraising initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of nonprofit fundraising, with proven success in major gifts and grant management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.
- Experience with CRM systems and data analysis; comfortable generating and presenting reports.
- Strong project management, event planning, and volunteer coordination skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse stakeholders; high integrity and professionalism.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of the Seattle philanthropic landscape is a plus.
